Africa Scout Day – 2024

13 MARCH: Today is Africa Scout Day and Scouts all over Africa are celebrating!

Created through resolution 1607 of the African Union’s Council of Ministers meeting on 23 June 1995, the day is a recognition of the Scout Movement’s contribution to the development of Africa through the education of young people, the training of adults and implementation of community development projects addressing different community challenges.

This year’s theme “Embrace, Engage, Elevate” urges Scouts to welcome diverse perspectives, actively connect with one another and their communities, and collectively elevate their voices and experiences for lasting change. It highlights Scouting’s commitment to fostering inclusivity, meaningful interactions, and personal and collective growth.

Happy #AfricaScoutDay to all our amazing Scouts and Volunteers from all over the continent!
